Strategic Housing Investment Plan

SHIP 2009

As part of the Strategic Housing Investment Framework (SHIF), local authorities are required to supplement their Local Housing Strategy (LHS) with a Strategic Housing Investment Plan (SHIP). The 2009 SHIP is the third annual SHIP document produced by East Renfrewshire Council and was submitted to the Scottish Government for assessment in early December 2009.

The East Renfrewshire SHIP 2009 has been developed in partnership with key local stakeholders, with a formal consultation taking place in October and November 2009. It reflects the affordable housing investment priorities for the local area, and provides detail about how these will be realised locally over the five year period from 20010 to 2015.

The plan also takes account of priorities set out in other key strategies such as East Renfrewshire's Community and Regeneration Plans.
