Introduction
On 11th November 2008, ninety years will have passed since the signing of the Armistice and the end of the First World War.
Some of the millions of men who lost their lives or were injured in the fighting came from areas now in East Renfrewshire. On the following pages we remember these men, as well as the war’s effect on the daily lives of people throughout East Renfrewshire, through photographs, newspaper reports and letters from our collections.
