Each of Barrhead Heritage Trail’s 25 sites has circular commemorative blue plaques giving a brief description of each location. This website compliments the trail with a map, photographs and historical detail of each of the sites.

Barrhead Heritage Trail

A community driven web site initiative that involves local schools, community groups and citizens alike. Contains local history information including searchable databases of the 1841 Census of Neilston, the 1851 Census of Neilston and Barrhead and men from the Levern Valley area who fell in the First World War.

East Renfrewshire Council's Holocaust Website has information about the Holocaust, in particular, how it impacted on all of the people of East Renfrewshire, home to Scotland’s largest Jewish community. The website contains oral and written testimonies from survivors in the community.
