Arrow Shanks Products and Design 2

Shanks produced both expensive, attractive products and more functional, practical products as the company supplied sanitary ware for various different clients. From cruise ships to hospitals, public toilets to palaces, Shanks products could be found everywhere. Shown here are examples of some of the standard designs and some of the more elaborate or outlandish designs produced by Shanks in the early part of the twentieth century.

Perhaps the strangest designs in the Shanks catalogues were these armchairs complete with seats which lift up to reveal toilets underneath!

For the most discerning customers, Shanks even made ornate cabinets to specifications provided by the client, such as this grand "State Room" cabinet.
