Margaret's father's business was called Robert Gibson & Sons (Glasgow) Ltd and an example of some of the books they published can be seen below. The books were well used in schools in the West of Scotland and would certainly have been used by Margaret and her brother and sisters. As you can see Margaret has signed her Play-way book at the top, Margaret L. E. Gibson, her middle names were Louise Elspeth. In correspondence with her aunt she was often referred to as my LEG, the initials of her middle names and surname.
