Service standards

Schools

  • We will make every effort to ensure our pupils feel safe and well looked after in school.

  • In all schools we will rigorously use assessment information to build on learning, raise attainment and ensure high standards in national examinations.

  • We will provide opportunities for all parents to be involved in their children’s learning and improving their school.

  • Schools will become more environmentally aware and an increased number will achieve ECO schools awards.

  • All pupils will have opportunities to make healthy food choices.

Arts, sports and libraries

  • We will ensure that all customers have access to accurate information.

  • We will ensure that customers are met by approachable, knowledgeable and friendly staff

  • We will ensure our classes and activity sessions are open to all.

  • All classes will be delivered by appropriately trained and certificated coaches or tutors.

  • We will ensure that customers have access to ICT equipment in public libraries which is in good working order and that any reported faults are resolved within seven working days.

  • We will support our customers with well qualified staff and maintain Learndirect Scotland accreditation for our library learning centres.

Adult learning

Every adult learner will be offered the opportunity of having an individual learning plan.
