Notes From Barrhead Museum Collection B2186. Bleaching was traditionally undertaken by women while the men concentrated on printing and dyeing. Two of the ladies in this photograph can be identified. Back row 2nd left is Rose McFadyen. Back row 1st left is Jeanie who married Rose's brother. (Information from Mrs. Gillan, Rose's grand-daughter)
