Introduction to Ancestry

Ancestry Library Edition is a must for anyone doing their family history and you can get access to this fabulous resource in your local East Renfrewshire library, without spending a penny.  This informal session will help you master the basics and you'll soon be searching with ease through millions of world-wide records.

*Please note that a basic knowledge of using the Internet on a PC is required for this session.

Online family history for fearties (new course)

Is your terror of technology stopping you accessing all the amazing family history resources that can now be found online?  Then this new course is perfect for you!  Over a series of five friendly sessions you will gain the skills and confidence that you need to use a computer and access the internet. Along the way, you will explore different family history sites and then progress to more detailed sessions on Ancestry Library Edition.

*Please note, this class is aimed at people who require tuition on the basics of using a computer. If you can already use a PC and the internet then the Introduction to Ancestry class is more suitable.

Local and family history drop-in

Pop along to our local & family history drop-in where the local studies librarian will be on hand to point you in the right direction.
