Placement in mainstream schools
East Renfrewshire is an inclusive authority and supports the education of all children and young people in its establishments.
Most children are supported in their local school; however, where children or young people have complex additional needs, the authority has one special school, Isobel Mair.
In some instances, children and young people may attend establishments outwith the authority.
